A couple of months ago Duran Duran, the british rock band, asked their fans to send them artistic pictures that could or would be shown in a big screen during the shows in the UK Tour. Faby my best friend urged me to do something for her. This is what I came up with.

Hace casi un par de meses, Duran Duran pidió a sus fans que enviaran fotos artísticas que podrían (o no) ser incluídas durante un video a proyectarse en los shows de su gira por el Reino Unido. Mi mejor amiga, Faby, me pidió que la maquillara para su foto. Esto fue lo que diseñé.

El desfile del estilista Oscar Fernández se realizó el viernes 20 de agosto en Big Flow. El arte de Osky se vio reflejado en su especialidad: vanguardia en peinados y color. Lo acompañaron las diseñadoras: Jesica Kulesz, Reina Margot, Jesica Bellomo, Caban, Fernanda Ferrer Vázquez, Besaqui, Luba by Luna y Truco, quiero truco.

Medium key. Silvina has the perfect face for this kind of make-up. I did a colourful look for a doll or a mannequin. The tricky part was to achieve the shinny plastic skin. And I managed it.

Thirties' glam / Glamour de los años 30

The thirties were pure glamour as you can imagine from pictures of movie stars from that period. This is just a humble aproach to that era, an homage to those wonderful women like Garbo, Dietrich, Harlow and the ever cheeky Mae West.

For the record, I only used cream products for this look. The eye socket was enhanced with an eyeliner. The only powder product used was cheeks highlighter: MSF by MAC.

Los años 30 fueron puro glamour, como se puede ver en las fotografías de sus estrellas de cine. Este es un humilde acercamiento a esa época. Es sólo un homenaje a esas maravillosas mujeres como Garbo, Dietrich, Harlow y la siempre (maravillosamente) descarada Mae West.

Sólo utilicé productos en crema en estas totos. La profundidad está hecha con un delineador de ojos. El único producto en polvo fue el iluminador en los pómulos: MSF de MAC.

Flor was the perfect model for a 1920-ish look. It´s not literal, kind of a look for a photoshoot instead. I, on the other hand, tried to follow the rules of the era on myself as much as I possibly could (given my skin tone). But the most important thing is that we both enjoyed the look. BTW note that I had done my make-up a good 3 & 1/2 hours before.

Flor fue la modelo perfecta para este look onda años 20. No es literal, es como para una producción de fotos. En mi caso, traté de seguir las reglas de la época tanto como me fue posible en mi rostro (dado mi color de piel). Pero lo más importante es que las dos disfrutamos el look. Ah! mi maquillaje ya tenía unas 3 horas y media de vida.

I'm working on Romina's eyes. All the girls had smokey eyes but the colours were not the same on any of them.

I used Chanel Vita Lumiére and Clinique Superbalance foundations.

MAC eyeshadows and pigments (carbon, cinderfella mineralized, beauty marked, shale, vex, trax, vanilla, et du bouquet, rice paper, pink opal, etc). Soft and gentle MSF and Kryolan powder.

Rimmel London Sexy Curves mascara, and several lipglosses by MAC and L'Oreal were also my choices.

The launch of A + V Magazine was celebrated on February 27th with a fashion show at Crobar. The DA Models Agency models were dressed by several designers.

These are my models; the hair was done by Oscar N. Fernández.

The task in these three cases was to create a look for the Animal, Vegetal and Mineral Kingdoms using a collage technique. Therefore, flowers, feathers, "precious" stones and actual gold were used to achieve it.

La tarea en estos tres casos fue crear un look para los Reinos Animal, Vegetal y Mineral usando la técnica del collage. Por lo tanto se usaron flores, plumas piedras "preciosas" y oro verdadero para lograrlo.
